This PB-7 is typical of the batch E3281, having the fingerboard of the style 12 but the solid carved maple resonator of the Style 7.
According
to the surviving Gibson shipping ledger, this was one of 6 PB7 banjos to be
shipped to H. Polliak in South Africa on May 16, 1941. In July of 2011
this banjo was found in Durban, South Africa and returned to the US.
