9584-3

1934 RB Granada

This has been Earl Scrugg's main banjo since he obtained it in a trade with Don Reno in the 1940's (see 518-1).

This is the most famous, revered and discussed banjo in existence.  Ironically, the only remaining original parts are the resonator, rim, and tonering.  Further, the rim was almost surely altered in 1949 to fit the newer, narrower-diameter flange specification of that period.
